I have a big to do list today, there is not a time limit to them they just need to be done, So far I have done most of the washing and put most of it on the line although it is not greatly sunning i thought that the wind would help as it is quite blowy today.
Dinner is on as it is a Sunday I thought a nice chicken roast and some rice, I found i preferred slow roasted chicken to ‘quick cooked’ version.
Also gave the kitchen a good clean so it is nice.
What I thought I would do i make a list of the things that I have recently bought to go in to the garden they are already in the ground and doing okay so far
Ornamental hop
Olive bush
Rhubarb victoria
Cranberry bush
Chinese Gooseberry
Pumpkins ~ Jack O’lantern
Tomatoes ~ Gardeners delight
Tayberry bush
Crab apple
These are the new edition to the garden the plant are of course small for what they are (the picture are not taken by me) the Forsythia,Snowberry, Ornamental hop are going be a hedge that will run on the inside of the fence that we have put up hopefully to provide some shelter the Tayberry, Chinese Gooseberry, and the cranberry are going along the side of the fence to have a climbing frame i have other fruit bushes that will also join them, The rhubarb is going to be at the back of the long garden next to the compost bins (am figuring out that the rhubarb is a Hungary feeder and will be ideally situated here as it’ll be able to get the nutrient from the compost bin).
Along the middle where the next bit of fence will be the Crab apple and the other tree i have, I am hoping to train them along the fence so it will be easy to get the fruit and ‘less’ accessible to outside people who’ll take a fancy to the fruit.
The pumpkin and tomatoes are waiting to going out in the garden but as it is currently mad march and it can’t make it’s mind up to wether it should snow or rain, The are currently sitting on my window sill with toastie feet on the heat plate, they’ll soon be removed and then accustomed to the lovely Scotland weather outside. (room needs to be made for the new seeds that are going to be sown this week.
Am undecided where to put the olive bush am thinking that is should be put in the herb garden along with the fence but not sure as of yet.
While writing this, I was listening to “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” by Elton John/George Michael
